Becoming a Jesuit Volunteer is a journey for anyone-across faiths and spiritual backgrounds-looking to dedicate a year of their life to advancing social justice, serving their community, and putting their beliefs into action. JVs commit to a year of service within agencies at the front lines of creating social change and live in intentional community with one another, while engaging in the values of spirituality, simple living, social justice, and community.

JVs earn a modest living stipend and some JVs are eligible for the $7,500 AmeriCorps Education Award for future tuition or to pay back qualified student loans. Housing and health insurance are provided. Some graduate programs provide scholarships or discounts to former JVs.
