The mission of Lutheran Service Corps is to expand peace with justice in greater Omaha by developing an intentional community of volunteers. LSC places full-time service-year volunteers with local nonprofit organizations. The volunteers live together at Hillstrom House in Omaha, working together on building community, exploring spirituality, simple and sustainable living, and social justice issues. Each volunteer serves forty hours a week at a local nonprofit organization doing various types of work depending on the organization..
