The Office of the State Auditor’s Audit Practice division provides the highest level of professional independence in our service to clients and citizens by performing financial and compliance audits of counties, large cities, other types of local governments, and the State of Minnesota. We are dedicated to serving the state and its citizens by ensuring accountability and transparency with independent and unbiased oversight, promoting quality standards in governmental audits, and providing technical assistance.

Our Audit Practice division (approximately 50 staff) work from our main office in St. Paul and regional offices in Duluth, Moorhead, Marshall, Mankato, and Rochester. Learn more at
