Position Description:

Personal Injury Paralegal/Case manager, Litigation Paralegal

Job Pay based on experience

1. Case management-handles file for duration (set up to resolution)
2. Independently prioritizes workload.
3. Client contact throughout the duration of the case is a priority.
4. Responsible for writing Claimant’s Statement of the Case for No-Fault arbitrations, settlement demands, mediation statements, answering discovery and supporting the attorney by managing all phases of the litigation process.
5. Obtains outstanding balances and subrogation interests when concluding/attempting settlement of a case.
6. Works side by side with legal assistant and attorney throughout the duration of the file.
7. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned/needed from time to time.

Requirements/Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel is required. Strong written, communication and analytical skills. The ability to manage/organize multiple cases in various stages, simultaneously. Detail orientated with positive attitude and excellent work ethic.

Position Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Schedule phone conferences for handling attorney with clients, insurance companies, and treating providers.
2. Process mileage, wage loss, and replacement services claims for the client as needed.
3. Order medical records and itemized statements; process invoices once received.
4. Manage correspondence with clients, insurance companies, and treating providers.
5. File No-Fault Arbitrations, amend petitions, handle No-Fault discovery, notify client of Arbitration hearing, and prepare arbitration hearing books.
6. Responsible for rollover phone coverage from front desk during high call volume.
7. Provide backup phone coverage, faxes, and greeting clients for Front Desk Associate as needed, rotating with other Legal Assistants.
8. Some light cleaning, running dishwasher, and taking out garbage.
