Position Description:

In this role you will perform specialized work in the installation, removal, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment and accessories

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair on and off-street parking equipment.
- Work 311 Parking Meter Issue queue and resolve or dispatch issue to meter shop foreman.
- Conduct parking meter and Parking Access and Revue Systems (PARCS) related field checks.
- Assist in monitoring PARCS and parking meter back-end system for alarms, communication status and other issues.
- Assist in ordering meter sticker signage and programming request.

Position Description:

Coordinate planning for staffing and other resources and work schedules for staff maintenance or operations in conjunction with supervisory staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Track progress for plans and keep the supervisor and management informed through periodic reports.
- Maintain and analyze project activity archives to improve the accuracy of time and material estimates for future repair and construction project activities.
- Serve as the Maximo technical expert for divisional staff. Provide day-to-day end user support for field staff using Maximo remotely.
- Assist Supervisors and Foremen in using Maximo work management computer software to plan and organize activities.
- Facilitate and/or deliver Maximo training to foreman, supervisors and other divisional staff as needed.
- Oversee entries made by Foremen and Supervisors onto the Maximo system to ensure the integrity of the data and functionality of the system.
- Coordinate with asset management engineers to maximize the technical data derived from the - - -- Maximo system as it relates to Public Works budget and capital programs.
- Oversee the quality control/quality assurance of Maximo technical data to ensure the accurate reflection of operational considerations for future budgeting and capital programming.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating, Gopher State One calls, permits, and utilities.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience: Two years' experience as a foreman or supervisor in wastewater or water plant operations, surface water and sewer collection systems or water distribution systems or six years as a trades person in a similar operation or four years in inspection, testing and construction oversight

Two years' experience utilizing enterprise asset management software (i.e. SAP PM, Ventyx, Enquesta, Maximo or other EAM software).

Position Description:

The Compensation and Classification Analyst administers and maintains the City of Minneapolis job classification and compensation programs so they comply with all applicable state and federal laws, applicable ordinances, labor agreements, and City of Minneapolis Civil Service rules.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the City-wide review of existing job classifications (class maintenance studies). Manage the list of pending job classifications. Schedule interviews. Make classification determinations by reviewing job analysis questionnaires (JAQs), meeting and conferring with managers and employees, evaluating jobs, and preparing written reports on findings based on City’s established point-factor system and procedures. Provide status updates to interested parties. Assign compensation to re-classified jobs.

- Manage and administer the approval and processing of appointed employees’ step increases (approximately 130 employees).
- Responsible for the maintenance of electronic and paper classification records.
- Manage, create, distribute, and summarize salary surveys. Respond to salary survey requests from other jurisdictions as needed.
- Document, and communicate classification and compensation policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in human resources administration, industrial relations, public administration, business administration or related field, or equivalent

Position Description:

The Communications and Outreach Coordinator (also known as an Emergency Management Operations Administrator), under the direction of the Assistant Director of Operations, will lead the Office of Emergency Management's (OEM) public information, public education, and public engagement efforts. The Coordinator will serve as OEM's point of contact for public and media information, including social media. The incumbent will coordinate with the City's Communications Department in enterprise-wide crisis communications and will manage OEM's warning and notifications systems. In doing so, the Coordinator will support OEM's efforts to lead all city-wide preparation for and execution of emergency management operations and/or continuity of operations activities, including those for planned events.

This position is grant-funded with funding secured through June 2024; renewal of the grant will be sought.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate all city-wide preparation for and execution of emergency management operations and/or continuity of operations activities in the areas of communications and outreach, particularly in the following: crisis communications, public information, warning and notification, incident management and coordination, multiagency coordination system (physical or virtual) activities, and implementation of emergency operations and continuity of operations plans.
• Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to inform and engage elected officials, City staff, community partners and the general public in the work of the OEM
• Manage department research and communications, establishing and communicating work assignments, monitoring performance, providing training and development, and resolving employment issues.
• Serve as an on-call City Coordinating Officer with delegated authority, in rotation with other qualified personnel, using command-level judgment about the need for and scope of any City response to observed threats or hazards, determine and establish appropriate organizational coordination, including virtual or physical emergency operations center, activate resources from within and outside the City, direct execution of the response/coordination plan.
• Supervise employees and contractors as assigned within the OEM, including but not limited to standard Branches, Divisions, Groups, Units and Technical Specialists as defined by the National Incident Management System.
• Monitor external threats and hazards, and advise staff, appointed and elected officials as to appropriate pre-response and response actions as required.
• Analyze, interpret, and implement regulatory, statutory, and policy guidance and mandates as they apply to emergency management operations, and communicate with State and Federal governments to evaluate and assess operations against requirements and/or guidance.
• Responsible for developing policy papers, reports, standard operating guidelines, ordinances and legislation.
• Anticipate future disasters and take preventive and preparatory measures to build disaster-resistant and disaster-resilient communities.
• Use sound risk management principles (i.e. hazard identification, risk analysis, and impact analysis) in assigning priorities and resources.
• Analyze and report on operational efficiency and preparedness activities.
• Develop and implement new initiatives to maximize effectiveness and efficiency in pursuit of departmental, City, regional, State and Federal objectives in the area of responsibility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
