Under the direction of the Director of Account Management, this role will be the main point of contact for our clients that are primarily Truckload shippers. This position will be responsible for communicating with our clients and their suppliers. The review and processing of customer orders and complete execution for all shipments in their respective portfolio ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. The Truckload Account Manager is responsible for retaining and growing their assigned customers.



Essential Functions:

Customer Relationship – Become an influential partner to your customer base by expanding your portfolio. It is imperative to farm our business and become stickier with your customers.
Customer Issue Resolution – Oversee, engage, and interact toward daily account success.
Spot Pricing – Quote all waterfall and spot opportunities in 20 minutes or less while also accepting tenders.
Internal Relationships – Build strong partnerships with internal pillars and their leaders who interact with your accounts.
Strategy – Measuring KPI & financial success. Customer facing reporting, business reviews, strategic account plans, billing & accounting issues, contractual and spot pricing strategies.
After Hours – Adhoc exception management outside of standard business hours.
Freight Claims – Leverage internal Evans resources to process claims on behalf of our customers.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
Additional years of education and experience may be substituted for each other, as determined by Management.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a Transportation Management Software (Mercury Gate) is preferred, but not required.
Transportation experience and working knowledge of industry preferred, but not required.
Elevated level of organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to read, write, type and speak English fluently is a requirement of this position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, lift (up to 10 lbs.), and an ability to adjust vision for close vision work. Under the direction of the Director of Account Management, the Specialized Transportation Manager is responsible for the operations of their portfolio with a heightened focus on specialized and over-dimensional freight. The Specialized Transportation Manager will also be responsible for leveraging internal resources, analytics, and reporting to enhance the customer experience.



Essential Functions:

Manage Customers from a specialized operational focus.
Oversee order tender management promptly and efficiently.
Establish process and execute carrier assignment.
Appointment scheduling, issue resolution and building orders within the TMS.
Relaying tracking information to the expectations of the customer requests.
Building a relationship with daily contacts and become an influential partner.
Oversee, engage, and interact toward daily account success.
Build strong partnerships with internal pillars and their leaders.
Budgetary Quote / Live Load quoting with an emphasis on Heavy haul and specialized opportunities.
Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions.
All other duties that may be reasonably assigned, including special projects and cross-training in other departments.
Qualifications / Requirements:

2-3 Years Open Deck/Heavy Haul operational experience
Asset Experience not required but preferred
Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others
Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment while also delivering independent results
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Driven, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
Ability to build strong relationships
Strong organization skills, prioritization skills, and works with a sense of urgency.
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to read, write, type and speak English fluently is a requirement of this position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The typical work environment is fast-paced and moderately quiet. Regular use of office equipment is expected, including computer, fax machines, and telephone. Employees may be required to lift on occasion up to 10 pounds. This position is required to sit at a workstation for up to 8 hours a day.
