The Account Management Intern will work alongside IDeaS Account Management team members and learn fundamental concepts of Account Management for a Software as a Service solution including; Account Management job roles, client segmentation and portfolio assignment, identifying and handling client concerns, sales process and sales stages in support of expansion within a client account, demand generation planning, management and collecting and leveraging data, preparation for client engagements, and more. Our Account Management Intern will have the opportunity to support high priority initiatives and engage in live activities that contribute to value delivery for our clients.

What you’ll be doing...

Support demand generation initiatives by assisting with the capture of data points about our clients, identifying target accounts, and assisting in the administration of client outreach.
Help conduct proactive outbound client engagement plans.
Work with the account management team to navigate client’s corporate structure and identify decision makers, uncover critical business issues, research ways to stimulate engagement and communicate IDeaS’ value proposition.
Assist Account Managers with the administration of digital sales tools.
Use Salesforce.com to manage client account and contact records.
Support pipeline creation for growth opportunities within our client accounts.
Proactively seek out information & research using the web, industry resources, and other vehicles to stay current on industry issues/trends and competing products.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

What you’ll bring to us…

Entering Junior or Senior year enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking an undergraduate degree in Business, Analysis, or Hospitality Management program.
Work experience in a hotel or in a company that provides a software as a service offering preferred, but not required.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

As a member of the Sales team you will assist with various duties regarding the initiation and nurturing of mutually productive dialogues over the phone with mid/senior level hotel executives to stimulate interest in IDeaS Revenue Solutions. As a summer student you will support the ultimate goal of identifying new business opportunities in defined market segments in the United States to drive achievement of pipeline and lead conversion goals.

Helps qualify, follow up and disposition leads generated via Marketing Programs according to target market fit and sales readiness and ensure smooth hand-off of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales.

As a member of the IDeaS Software Development team our interns will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. You will join an autonomous delivery team that is following agile methodologies in actively creating new features to enhance our revenue management products. While on our team, you will have a great opportunity to expand your technical skillset as well as work in an agile environment that believes in test-first, continuous integration and deployment. Your code will be built and deployed to serve clients in over 140 countries.

The Project Management Intern, Emerging Products reports directly into the Senior Director, Emerging Products and plays an essential role in supporting one or more projects within the IDeaS.Lab department.



Primary Responsibilities

Works closely with the Senior Project Manager, Emerging Solutions to support at least one or more projects managed by the IDeaS.Lab team to design, scope and evaluate a new innovative solution for IDeaS.
Support the development of detailed project plans to achieve time-bound initiatives for a broad range of new industry/product/solution concepts, achieving required milestones and objectives.
Supports cross-departmental stakeholder alignment and support for project goals.
Monitor and track project progress, adapting to changing goals and business need to ensure all stages of emerging product development are achieved.
Communicates and tracks regularly on the status of project goals by ensuring project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, and schedule.
Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes and adjustments.
Supports project team to ensure agreed upon goals, objectives, and deadlines.
Reports on progress of project to all stakeholders by presenting reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.

IDeaS’ Internship Program provides students with real world experiences working on high visibility projects and challenging assignments. Our program facilitates opportunities to explore their field of study and make connections. Interns are a valuable part of our team – they do a lot of important work here, and occasionally have some fun.

As an ​intern​ on the ​Communication team​, you will ​gain a broad look at the employee experience and how internal communication process and programs can influence and enhance that experience. IDeaS is a fast-paced, growth-oriented technology organization that supports the global hospitality, travel, and entertainment industries. From day one, you will be an integral part of the Communication team and given the opportunity to apply your skills to gain hands-on experience working on various projects from strategy planning to writing for our most visible communications channels. You also will have an opportunity to connect with IDeaS leaders, employees, and interns globally as you collaborate and build relationships. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and hands-on. We look for people who want to grow, think, and produce.

Ideally, our intern will be available to work up to 40 hours per week in the position during the summer, with the potential to continue on with 10 - 15 hours during the school year. Please note, candidates selected for an interview will be asked to provide writing samples.​

Developing interviewing, writing, and research skills for a variety of communication channels including video, digital signage, intranet, email, web, social enterprise platforms and more
Delving into web, email, social platform, and other engagement metrics to make informed decisions about content creation
Assisting in the creation, promotion, and execution of a variety of employee engagement events, including expert panels, lunch & learn webinars, town hall meetings, and more
