North Risk Partners is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. This role gives the opportunity to develop skills in the areas of brand recognition, writing, strategic communication, project management and more. The Communications Intern will directly impact North Risk’s #oneTEAM, clients, and external presence.


This role involves content creation, event management, social media strategy, website management, and more.


Work Schedule:

- Length of Assignment: Minimum of 4 months; Opportunity to work through August 2024
- Hours per Week: Minimum of 20 hours/week; Option to work up to 40 hours/week
- Days of the Week: Flexible, Monday through Friday
- Time of Day: Flexible, during regular business hours 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Work Location: Fully on-site at our Plymouth office
- Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Creation:

- Use North Risk’s brand voice, core values, and mission to create and distribute engaging content for various audiences on North Risk’s internal and external platforms.
- Internal: Intranet Site (SharePoint), Teams, Viva Engage.
- External: Social Media, Website, Email Marketing Software.
- Develop a wide variety of content such as videos, social media graphics, press releases, sales materials, advertisements, blog posts, surveys, policy manuals, how-to guides, PowerPoints, newsletter articles, and more. - Ensure brand standards are upheld in all content created.
- Support maintenance of department databases including document libraries, client information, and more.

Event Support

- Support logistics for North Risk’s large-scale events: bi-annual all-company or sales meeting, and carrier appreciation events.
- Support logistics for North Risk virtual events including client webinars and internal training for #oneTEAM members.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks within the Employee Relations team as requested by management.

This position works on a team across all of North Risk Partners to support the Commercial Lines service team. The team works under the support and direction of the Divisional Service Leader along with support from the North Risk University Training Leads. This position will support various duties assigned by Account Managers and Commercial Lines Leaders to support the Commercial Service Account Management team. This role is designed to prepare the individual for the Account Management track, Sales track or Select Service track in the Commercial Lines of insurance.

Proficiency and the ability to complete Phase 1 responsibilities independently and accurately is required before moving into Phase 2.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Phase 1:

- Monitor and process tasks in the North Risk Commercial Lines Buddy List.
- Assist account management team by delivering quick and accurate responses to service requests in a caring and friendly manner.
- Accept, process, and communicate standard tasks such as, but not limited to, certificates, simple policy changes, MVR’s, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements.
- Receive new policies, prepare policy books for account managers to review, and deliver to Risk Advisors as instructed.
- Attend and participate in agency service training meetings.
- Develop positive relationships with partner insurance carriers.
- Enter client activity and other relevant information into the company’s software system(s).
- Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions.

Phase 2:

- Assist account management team by delivering quick and accurate responses to service requests in a caring and friendly manner.
- Receive, process, and manage incoming requests delegated by account managers, risk advisors, and insureds.
- Accept, process, and communicate complex tasks such as, but not limited to, certificates, evidences, policy changes, proposal building, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements.
- Review certificate contract and communicate with carriers and account managers with necessary policy updates to execute certificate.
- Support processing tasks in the Commercial Lines Buddy List.
- Attend and actively participate in agency service training meetings.
- Develop positive relationships with partners insurance carriers.
- Enter client activity and other relevant information into the company’s software system(s).
- Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.
- Attention to detail and organization is required.
- The ability to work within a team across divisions virtually will be required.

POSITION SUMMARYS

North Risk’s Commercial Lines #oneTEAM is currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Risk Advisor. This position will build business by identifying prospects, converting prospects to clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Risk Advisors are required to generate new business to meet minimum sales goals established by North Risk Partners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prospect and generate new business appointments.
- Analyze and develop solutions for prospective and current client business insurance needs.
- Develop strong relationships with clients through advising and offering all value-added services available through North Risk Partners.
- Sell/refer business across all departments (i.e., property and casualty, employee benefits and personal lines).
- Study trends and advancements in the insurance and finance industries as well as changes to the regulatory climate for businesses and the insurance industry overall to keep knowledge current and plan strategically.
- Attend and actively participate in agency sales training meetings.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers.
- Continuously fill the sales pipeline and meet monthly goals associated with the pipeline.

POSITION SUMMARY:

North Risk's Personal Lines #oneTEAM is currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Associate Account Manager. This position is responsible for managing the relationships and day-to-day service requests associated with personal lines accounts in support of the producing risk advisor. Personal lines accounts include those with homeowners, auto, personal umbrella, boat, and recreational vehicle insurance. Some service staff may also be involved in servicing farm, health and other coverages, depending on the individual office/agency’s needs.

Associate Account Managers work under the supervision of risk advisors or a high-level member of the account management team to service accounts. An associate account manager will progressively increase his/her responsibilities to become an account manager.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through advising and responding to all correspondence in a quick and accurate manner with support from the risk advisor and account management team.
- Answering questions regarding all lines of coverage, and assisting with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, requotes, and billing
- Collaborate with risk advisor to determine and meet client goals.
- Work under the supervision of the account management team to:
- Communicate and educate clients on policies as needed.
- Evaluate and process client requests to ensure appropriate cover is met.
- Resolve inquiries on service problems, billing, and claims to ensure client satisfaction.
