We are seeking a LADC to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (Y-ACT) team. The general purpose of this position is to provide co-occurring substance abuse counseling services to adolescent clients referred to our Y-ACT Program



Essential Functions include:

Completing client screening and intake assessments
Orientating clients to services
Creating initial and ongoing treatment
Providing counseling in group, individual & family settings
Providing case management to clients as needed
Responding to and intervening in client crisis situations
Develop and maintain appropriate professional relationships with referral sources and community agencies
Assess and provide diagnosis for substance abuse disorders
Meet with clients and families if applicable to identify needs for services and to make appropriate referrals
Maintain records according to the agency policies and procedures along with program regulations
Work as an active and effective treatment team member
Demonstrate interest and willingness to increase skills and knowledge regarding substance abuse and participate in activities which advance the field of substance abuse treatment
May participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills
May assist in the training of paraprofessionals in performance of clinical duties


Qualifications include:

Active LADC license with no restrictions. ADC-T are also encouraged to apply.
Experience providing substance use services to adolescents
Ability to document competence in screening for and working with mental health problems
Must be free from chemical use problems for a period of no less than 2 years and be willing to sign attestation
Certification in CPR and First Aid

We are seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mobile Crisis Outreach team. This full-time position will work primarily daytime, weekday shifts and work throughout our six-county service region. Candidates must be qualified as a Mental Health Practitioner per MN DHS. Travel is a function of this position; ability to operate a motor vehicle along with a valid driver’s license is required.



Essential Functions include:

Enable a recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills, when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness
Enable a recipient to regain and/or retain stability and functioning if the recipient is at risk of losing significant functionality or being admitted to a more restrictive service setting without these services
Instruct, assist, and support a recipient in areas such as medication education and monitoring; and basic social and living skills in mental illness symptom management, household management, employment-related, or transitioning to community living. This may include transporting recipients in order to effectively accomplish these tasks in a timely fashion.
Provide interim services when no other resources are immediately available to meet critical consumer need. The service is provided based on need, not program eligibility.
Connect recipients to mental health continuum of care and resources as needed for ongoing stability after ICTS services completion.


Qualifications include:

Travel is a requirement of the position; valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle are required
Must meet Mental Health Practitioner status per the State of Minnesota

We are seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join our Outpatient Team. Travel to other outpatient offices in Central Minnesota to serve clients may be required.



Essential Functions include:

Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies
Competencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues
Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations
Develop and implement a treatment plan
Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan
Complete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary
Collaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large
Participate in the referral process
Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
Provide crisis intervention services as requested


Qualifications include:

Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences field (i.e. Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work)
A valid license in behavioral health without restrictions ( e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MN. Clinical Supervision is available; License-seeking trainees encouraged to apply!
Experience with adults and children struggling with mental illness
Competencies and ability to provide empirically supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral needs
Excellent written (computer based) and verbal skills
Valid Driver’s License
