Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for finding carrier capacity and building relationships
with a carrier portfolio while at the same time gaining and utilizing market knowledge to employ
effective negotiation tactics to maximize profitable rates for the company. This role thrives on
excellent customer service as it provides creative freight solutions for our customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
 Contact, negotiate, and secure carriers for available/open loads and begin to create
a carrier base
 Learn and understand available resources for gaining and keeping up with current
market knowledge
 Learn and employ skills that will develop relationships with current and prospective
carriers
 Answer emails/phone calls and requests from drivers, customers, and carriers
 Make cold calls to generate and develop leads to carriers
 Field internal and external emails/phone calls regarding loads in transit and provide
accurate updates
 Maximize each load by negotiating with carriers to ensure proper profit margins
 Fill out and digitally store new carrier packets
 Request certificate of insurance documents from insurance companies when
needed
 Performs other duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
 Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
