Position Summary

Autism Day Treatment - Mental Health Practitioner

The Preschool Aged Day Treatment program provides services which include day treatment as well as mental health outpatient services. Outpatient case load may include family and individual psychotherapy sessions. This position facilitates the daily operations and programming for the day treatment and coordinates and provides support to the families, in-center and via telehealth. ***Clinical supervision is provided. This position reports to the Preschool Aged Day Treatment Program Supervisor.

Compensation (Pay/Benefits): Our employees are our most valuable asset; therefore, we offer competitive pay and benefits. The pay range for these positions starts at $59,760 - $66,050 a year for full time, depending on qualifications (i.e., licensure and experience). Please inquire with interest. Job Qualifications

Required:

Experience working directly with children with mental health/spectrum diagnoses.
Master's degree in the mental health field, eligible to receive clinical supervision toward licensure. (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT)"
A mental health practitioner working as a clinical trainee must be complying with requirements for licensure or board certification as a mental health professional including supervised practice in the delivery of mental health services for the treatment of mental illness (Chapter 16 of provider manual under Provider Requirements and Mental Health Practitioner)

Position Description:

Paraprofessional
Position Overview: We are now hiring a Paraprofessional for our Autism Day Treatment program at Minnetonka location. This position assists the Mental Health Practitioner and Mental Health Professional in implementing individual day treatment plans for children and their families.

Responsibilities:

Promote skill development of children in day treatment as indicated by the daily program schedule. Individual children and/or groups will be assigned daily.
Assist the child in using age-appropriate self-management skills, including communication, self-regulation, self-help skills, motor skills, and cognitive development, play, and relationship skills.
Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, the child, and the child's family.
Complete pre-service training prior to starting to work in the day treatment program.
Assist the mental health practitioner with daily set-up and clean-up of materials and activities.
Set-up materials and toys for individual skill work and groups as they occur throughout the program day.
Assist with daily self-help skills, such as diapering, toileting, washing hands, eating, etc.
Compensation:

Program Summary and Position Overview:

St. David's Center's School Based Mental Health Program provides comprehensive mental health services to preschool and/or elementary aged children and their families, collaborating with school staff and/or other providers to achieve strong outcomes. Most of our therapists are embedded in one school, which makes it possible to cultivate meaningful relationships with children and school staff.

Therapists' work is dynamic and responsive to the needs of children in each setting and includes assessment, direct intervention (psychotherapy, psychoeducation, skills training), teacher consultation, and care coordination.

Our therapists are well supported. We provide weekly individual reflective supervision and weekly group consultation. In addition, we invest generously in you and your career path through annual training, access to evidence-based practice training and certification, and annual professional development funding to offset the costs of specific trainings of your choice.

Schedule:

Flexible with weekly hours ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week. We offer year-round positions. In addition, we offer opportunities to reduce hours in the summer or take 10 weeks off in the summer.

· Clinical Trainees: $59,760 - $66,050 annually

· Professionals: $68,821- $76,065 annually

***This salary reflects a 40-hour workweek annually (any agreed-upon reduction in weekly hours will be reflected in salary commensurately/accordingly)

Job Qualifications:

Education:

· Minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work is required

· LICSW, LMFT, LPCC or LP licensure through the State of Minnesota's licensing board governing their practice is required. Must be eligible for credentialing with insurance entities.

· Clinical trainees (LGSW, LMFT, LPCC clinical trainee) will be considered if they have proven clinical experience with children and families that is clearly indicated on their resume.


Experience:

· A minimum of one-year post-Master's preferred, with clinical experience working with children who struggle emotionally and behaviorally.

· Knowledge and experience working in family systems, child development, developmental psychopathology, attachment theory, child abuse, neglect and trauma.
