Position Description:

The primary responsibility of the PSS is to assist and respond to clients who engage in challenging behaviors that are impacting their independence and self-sufficiency in the community. The BS works closed with a caseload of clients, their support teams, and the ILO Behavior Services team to support clients through a person-centered, positive behavior medication plan.

A typical week for PSS staff includes meeting one on one with assigned clients for a set number of hours per week, completing data collection, reviewing client documents to ensure competence, meeting with the Behavior Analyst to review the clients’ successes and train on behavioral interventions, and maintaining documentation. In addition, BS staff complete administrative tasks and attend staff meetings monthly.

Position Description:

The role of the Community Mental Health Worker is to assist clients with increasing their independence and self-sufficiency within their community. Broad categories for support include community participation, health, safety and wellness, household management, and adaptive skills by offering guidance and instruction to the client. Persons served are typically seen multiple times weekly and may require remote support for the purposes of check-ins and consultation. Examples of work performed with clients include but is not limited to: finding and accessing community resources (food shelves, housing, employment, etc.), budgeting and financial management (bill pay, balancing accounts), household management (grocery shopping, meal planning/preparation, sales/coupon use, etc.), community integration/socialization, symptom management, etc.
