Position Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Assurance Department. This team specializes in in audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements through all stages of an engagement, including planning and fieldwork, while working in a variety of industries with publicly traded and privately owned clients. Experience working directly with our clients and receive one-on-one training from our team to help you learn and grow in your career.

As an Intern, you will participate in all phases of the engagement. You will meet with clients, plan engagements, and assist with office wrap-up and report preparation. You will work with a variety of clients (within multiple industries) on engagements. Responsibilities
•Participation in audit, review, or compilation engagements including performing procedures around cash, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, PP&E, and debt along with assistance in revenue and expense testing
•Working closely with in-charges and clients to obtain proper documentation for attest engagements
•Participate in client discussions with key finance personnel including CEO, CFO and other key management
•Involvement in all phases of the engagement process from preparation to issuance of reports
•Assisting on special projects (i.e., due diligence or mergers and acquisitions)
•Future engagement preparation through assistance of certain planning procedures

Qualifications and/or Experience
•Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting and/or 150 credit hours
•Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements
•Completion of intermediate accounting course(s)
•Completion of some Tax and/or Audit course(s) by time of internship
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
•Exemplary communication and organizational skills
•Strong desire to learn and develop professionally
•Motivated to serve clients

We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Tax Department as a Specialty Tax Intern within our Estate and Trust and Private Client Services teams. Our Estate and Trust team works with clients in administration of estates and trusts, including analysis of related documents, preparation and review of tax returns, and fiduciary accounting. Our Private Client Services team provides centralized and integrated private family office, tax, estate and wealth advice that accommodate our client’s lifestyle and simplifies the complexities of wealth.

As an Intern, you will rotate between the Estate and Trust and Private Client Services teams with some potential exposure to general tax. Our Transaction Advisory team offers support by providing valuation, due-diligence, and transaction consulting expertise—helping clients ensure they have the right information to make informed decisions.

As an Intern, you will assist on several valuation consulting service lines. You will prepare in-depth client research, build financial models, apply valuation methodology, and develop reports and proposals. Responsibilities
•Research various clients, industries, economic trends, markets and competitors
•Conduct financial analysis and build financial models for a variety of purposes (e.g. transactions, enterprise valuations, equity and debt securities valuations, purchase price allocations, intellectual property valuations, stock option valuations, etc.)
•Apply valuation approaches and methods, including discounted cash flow analyses and analyses of market valuation multiples
•Develop detailed financial models with income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts for a variety of valuation and consulting purposes
•Write business valuation reports and proposals with information gathered through research and financial analysis
•Present findings both internally to BTG team and to current or future clients
•Additional special projects as assigned

Qualifications and/or Experience
•Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred, or finance, will be considered
•Finance majors with a minor in accounting will be considered
•Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements
•Completion of introduction accounting and intermediate accounting one courses
•Detail oriented with sound organizational skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
